any ideas on how to accomplish this with slp mid length headers? ive still go a flow thru cat, but want an exhaust that is as quiet or quieter then stock.

Try the Magnaflow catback, it is good quality being made of stainless steel, it flows very well, and it is very tame unless you have your accelerator pedal mashed to the floor.

convert to dual high flow cats...

and in all honesty...you could probably accomplish it with true duals. since each muffler has to only handle 1/2 the "sound deadening" that a regular catback does. and it will obviously flow well.

mids, high flow cats, 2.5" duals with some 4x9 magnaflow mufflers will be nice and quiet...but will flow VERY well.

Hooker as as quiet as stock unless your above 3500 RPMs. Even then it's not real loud inside the car (don't know about outside).

ive got the hooker right now, id prefer it to be quieter than stock, totally surprising when i pull away silently but at the speed of sound

Earplugs -- j/k

Seriously though, you could put a bullet style muffler in series with a regular muffler. The bullet muffler would act as a resonator to help quiet things down but shouldn't be restrictive at all.

magnaflow all the way. I wanted a quiet exhaust to go down the freeway, but I wanted it to be loud when I wanted

Magnaflow + electric cut out = best of both worlds
