I want to get a cutout

Ive been running around for awhile now with an open y pipe. i think it sounds pretty good and loud except for the rasp when u let off the throttle. BUT.....the rear looks like crap without any exhaust system and the i pipe clanking around everytime i hit a bump is getting pretty annoying.

eventually i would like to go with a tru dual setup with lt headers and such but im going to pay off the car this summer and stuff before i do anything major with it.

is there a cutout i can buy that i dont have to weld on or modify anything to make it fit? will the cutout get rid of that annoying rasp too? I want the look of the magnaflow system i have but the sound of the open y pipe.

A cutout wont really cut out any rasp atleast when it is open, it will just provide a way to quiet the car down. When it is closed it may stop some of it though. I gained a little bit of rasp when I took my cat out but its not very noticable. You dont have to weld on any cutout if you dont want to, mine is just put in place with band clamps. I will eventually weld all my exhaust once I get longtubes as it is the best way to go to eliminate leaks. You will have to cut a place somewhere in the exhaust to place the flowtech that the cutout attatches to. I put mine in place of my cat so I didnt have to cut much.

You could put it together with clamps, but depending on where you go, you can get a nice weld job done for pretty cheap.
