I feel like such a......

These exhaust manifold bolts aren't budging and I don't have the clearance for a larger breaker bar/ cheater bar. Would a 1200 in/lb electric impact driver be enough to massage them out? Wow, I just realized it's in/lbs not foot lbs. Is a 100 ft/lbs enough? I feel so dumb asking but an impact drive/wrench is a route that should work.

Yeah, definitely spray them well or you'll be looking at half a bolt in your head.

I'm already using some sort of rust-penatrating lubricant. I managed to get almost all of the off, now... i cannot fit even my smallest wrench between the exhaust manifold bolt and the power steering assembly. It seems like I already answered the question but... do I have to remove the PS box to access that bolt?

Use a piece of conduit pipe on the end of your ratchet to gain more leverage.

I made an attachment to add to the wrench and it was nothing after letting the PB Blaster soak in.

Yep, great stuff. You just have to let it soak in for a day or two, if there really rusty.

wear gloves or wrap some towel or tape around the wrench. anything to not make the wrench dig into your hand so much. you can pull harder that way

Are you turning the ratchet counter-clockwise? Just kidding.

PB blaster and LOTS OF IT letting it soak for a couple days. another way to get a little more room to get more leverage on the wrench is to hold your motor up with a hoist, take out the motor mount bolts, and jack up the motor a little bit. to get all of my bolts off it took a bit of adjusting with the hoist to get the right amount of room for each bolt. just BE CAREFUL and dont snap a bolt. and you can always try a torch to heat up the bolts if nothing else works.

The idea is to heat the metal around the bolt not the bolt itself, as heating the bolt itself would just make it further expand and be even harder to get out. heater the metal around the bolt will make it easier.
