How To Quiet My Hooker Exhaust???

I have long tubes, dual MagnaFlow cats (although I really don't think they do much by the exhaust smell) and a Hooker Aerochamber exhaust.

The problem is, I think it really is getting a lot louder than it was when I installed in about 20,000 miles ago. It sounds like pure heaven when I get on it and the tone is exactly what I want, but I would like it to be not so obnoxious (sp?) just driving around. Any idea on a good bullet muffler or resonator to put in the I-pipe to quiet it down a little without drastically changing the tone????

I have SLP short headers, but, reworked my Mufflex 3 1/2" system w/o cats (bleu them out due to ATI D1 flow). Lots of resonance and noise even thru a Spintec chambered muffler. So, I installed a CCI 3 disk insert which helped alot. They are small and you can also weld them inside the cat-back pipe. Easy install. I ordered from Summit and Jegs also has them. A MIG welder and good cutoff saw is usefull. My app... 97ss 383 - D1 MM6. B.

I've got one of these in my I pipe then into a turn-down. It's actually not loud at all at cruizing speed.

MagnaFlow #14419 3" in/out, 4" case OD, 14" case length.
