A bit of a pain, depends on how mechanical you are. I wouldn't do it alone, grab a friend and buy a case of beer and some pizza.

I used a buddies 4 post lift and the removal and install took me a total of 5 hours for Pace setter longtubes. I could not get them up without dropping the k-member an inch or so. Then they slid in. I think if you get the headers without the emissions stuff, you do not need to drop the k-member. they should just slide right nin. I kept getting stuck on the egr tube fitting

you shouldn't have to drop the k member. throw them around a bit and remove the dipstick.

Yeah, but 3 minutes to loosen six bolts and no throwing them around. They just go straight up. Dipstick did definitely have to come out.

It's not really that bad a job. Then again... I've put headers on just about everything I've ever owned so I've been through it more than a few times. Of course, pneumatic tools make it so much easier but it's just a matter of getting it done. I believe some probably install easier than others.

Get a box of bandaids cause you'll probably need em afterwards.
