Is it in impossible to install 93-95 shorty headers + y-pipe on a 96? Both my cats are going bye-bye, so they won't be an issue. My exhaust will be for a 96... I assume I'll have to add a length of pipe to make it work. I'm guessing I'll need 02 sims in the back. I'm just not real sure. I've been shopping for used headers, and the only "good" deals I've found are on shorties for single cat cars. Anyhow, emissions be damned, will they work?

Yes you can make them work. You can buy an "s" pipe to mate the single cat Y to the intermediate pipe of the dual cat system. 93's had different emissions hook ups I believe, but I think 94 and up had the same AIR and EGR hook ups.

You will need O2 sims or have them deleted thru programming.

Cool. The particular headers I'm looking at now are for 94/95, so hopefully those will work out. Thanks!

You might even see some slightly better gains using the single cat style as their design is less restrictive then the dual cat style.
