header install?
no matter who you listen to it is still a find out while you go type thing...all of the write ups were a good basic platform but i still had to do a few things differently. i put in shorties but still had to lossen up the motor mounts on each side one at a time to angle the motor. jsut take your time and make sure you keep track of everything that you take off. give yourself plenty of time for error. i started on a friday so i would have all weekend to do it. buy a lot of liquid wrench and band aids. your gonna need it.
..... i know for damn sure im gonna take my time! in about a month when it starts getting warmer out up here in the northeast im gonna go at mine!.... how hard is it to loosen the motor mounts and tilt the engine??
its really not that hard at all....there are obviously two places where you can loosen them....either n the motor or the chassis. i found it easier to loosen the bolts on the chassis. i used a two by four on a jack under the oil pan. i was skeptic of jacking it up there but if you take your time and disperse the weight evenly throughout it, it works fine

Me and a friend just did pacesetter lt's on my 95 TA. With a lift- we installed both from the bottom of the car after taking apart the steering knuckle, and taking out a couple spark plugs on both sides. The biggest pain was getting the bolts in and out.
That is actually the time I spent soaking mine. Some people may have thought I was crazy but I didn't break one bolt and every single one came out with little to no effort. As for the motor mounts, it isn't that difficult but it is one step I didn't have to do. By popping off the passenger valve cover, I gained the little bit of clearance needed to slide the header in.

pull the valve covers, steering linkage, put it on jack stands and put them both in from the top. it has to be in the air though or the primary's will hit the floor becuase of the angle you have to put them in from the topbefore lining them up with the bolt holes.
while i have the covers off...what can i do to help out my springs and heads etc? also how do u unhook the steering linkage??.... also with this method will they slide in fine? and at what angle do u have the headers to slide them in?
CHeck my Cardomain page or Teke184's page. I used his walk thru. Too much to write up. And yeah, take the coil packs off on the pass side.
I did mine on ramps. Just get that car sky high. Unless you have access to a lift. CHeck www.installuniversity.com or www.ls1howto.com

EDIT: Disregard. You've got an LT1. Our tips might not help.
