header bolts/gaskets for pacesetter lts

ordering my lts tomorrow,what bolts and gaskets should I go with??

breslin bolts, if you can find them..... and either copper or percy's gaskets

From what I hear, the Pacesetters are coming with copper gaskets now. If that is the case, then those would be alright to use. As for the bolts, I used the bolts that Pacesetter supplied and in almost two years of the headers being on the car, they never backed out once. If you do want to upgrade though, ARPs, Stage 8s, or Breslins if you can find a set. Last I heard, you could still get a set of Breslins from Summit upon calling them.

ive been reading that people are using the nascar style header bolts with no problems

yea i ordered my Pacesetters LTs around december and they came with copper gaskets, theyre what im going to use

Haven't heard of that one, its got my curiousity though. Do you have any links or details you could shoot my way?

what's a nascar style header bolt? i'm curious..... is it a regular grade 8 bolt that says "nascar" on the head? lol

I hear that stage 8's are tricky to get on.....

12-pt 1" underhead ARP bolts work just fine. Fancy header bolts really arent necessary. I've been using those for 4 years now.

Yeah they are. It took both me and my friend to get them installed on his LS1. The retainer clips are what makes it tricky. Basically, I had to hold it in position from the bottom of the car and he wedged it in place over the bolt from the top of the car with a screwdriver. There was alot of yelling and things being thrown around that day.
