Has anyone ever done a true Mac Mids vs Longtube comparison?
I'm at a real crossroads here as I've begun working on my car. (currently putting it back to stock ride height)
Has anyone ever done a true dyno test of Mac midlengths vs a long tube header? I've read debates but no hard numbers to back anything up.
I bought Mac Mid Length headers ages ago and just basically never got around to putting them on.
But now I'm thinking about not putting them on and getting pacesetter longtubes. But that will actually end up costing me more money when you add everything up.
Everything I read says that Macs have awesome gains, and that longtubes only beat them in the low end. I have pretty much everything MAC install save for an adapter or 2 for the EGR to bolt up, and also the trip to the muffler shop. (I bought single cat headers for my dual cat car)
If you were in my position, just throw the mac mid lengths on there? Or sell them and get longtubes?
thanks fellas.

Goals? Enjoy the car. It's not going to be a track monster, I'll have it forever most likely.
The car might see the track a few times a season, but it's more for taking on trips to the rv lot, going for cruises etc.
My question is I guess, do you really get that much more from longtubes to make it worth me ditching ym already paid for macs and getting longtubes. If we're talkin 5-10 hp that can come down to the skill of the driver as far as the track goes.
