Got my true duel's on

I got a 2.5 inch X-pipe kit from Summitracing.com along with two Edelbrock mufflers, reducers, hangers and clamps. It's loud. But it sounds real good. I can't decide if I want to add some cats or not. I don't know if they would last with my engine setup. I may add some tail pipes later under the axle. It's not a daily driver, so I am not in a hurry. I just have it bolted together for now. I will weld everything up later. I wrapped the pipes in a few places where the fuel and brake lines were close. Also, I didn't clearance the frame where the Pacesetter headers are close on the drivers side, so the reducer in wedged in there. When I rev the engine you can feel it a little but it's not bangging the bottom of the car. I could only get 3.5 inches of clearance under the mufflers, the lowest point of the exhaust. My car is lowered 1.5 inch from stock. Here are a few pics.

I'll try to get a video up soon. It's loud. Trying to figure out what my next step is to quiet it down a bit. Before I had a y pipe and flowmaster muffler that was loud but not this loud.

A couple of resonators should do the trick, make sure you get a video before you make it quieter

Ya, my cam has over .600 lift on the exhaust side. That's part of the reason it's so loud even at idle. What's funny is when I was fabbin' up the new exhaust, I started it up with open headers and I could see a few neighboors come out of their front doors just starring toward my house saying "what the hell". I didn't get any sound clips of open headers though. I did get a video with the new exhaust setup, I just have to get it off the camera now. I'll work on it.

That sounds really good! Are you sure you want to make it quieter?

I got the same system. Got it welded for $50. Well worth it. Makes taking it off a snap. I flipped my rear pipes though.
Pic without the turn downs.
