Full exhaust help 93 Z28

Ok i have various other threads about different portions of what i'd like to build I have a 93 z28 a4 and want to do h/c combo with possible intake port. I have a hooker catck and hate the drone on it at speed I've seen alot. I've got a budget of 900 max for 700 max for exhaust. Few questions what are some economical full systems?
Will doing head y and droping cat help drone?
Would a muffler swap be sufficient for cat back?
whats cost on universal kit true duals (seen alot of figures and dunno whats true)?
I really like the prochamber sound but cannot find one for f-body any help?

Do i really need a full exhaust or would going cat less be enough?

What are pros and cons of mixing brands anything to be aware of would help?

Anyone input as always helps.

Re: Full exhaust help 93 Z28

The only exhaust that I have run that did not have the 2,000 RPM drone is the SLP Dual Dual. I've had magnaflow, hooker, and Flowmaster catbacks and each one did it. Flowmaster 40 was the worst and seemed to be louder INSIDE the car than out. If you are trying to cut down drone, dumping the exhaust or going true dual with small bullets is probably not going to help at all. You'd need something like a corsa ($$)

My Suburban has a magnaflow on it also, and drones like hell at 75mph. Most people there use Flowmaster 50 SUV or Corsa with good results. I'd keep asking, maybe find some sound clips and see what everyone else likes. One man's drone is another man's sweet music.

Yeah thanks. I was looking at borla but thats another $$ system. What about loud mouth 2's i havent herd of the duals you had mentioned. There was a point where i was going to trade my camaro for a mustang and I saw on Americanmuscle.com 2 powerflow exhausts (they have sound clips) and i found some you tube vids of them with a mac powerflow. Check it out its slp powerflow was my favorite with loud mouth 2 and mag powerflow tied for second. Take a look or search prochamber powerflow exhaust and see what you all can figure.

Power Flo sounds very similar to my SLP Dual/Dual.
