I was thinking about putting a new cat-back exhaust system on my 1986 IROC (305). Ive heard some bad things about lowmaster 80 series muflers. I would like to know your opinions on the 80 series mufflers as well as another system for my IROC. I'm looking for something loud but sounds good, inexpensive as well. Any Ideas?

Also I am planning on putting long tube headers as well... Is there a Y-Pipe that I can buy that will eliminate my cat?

Flowmasters sound very good in my opinion, they just get a bad rap because they don't flow as well compared to other exhaust systems.

 

I had the Single Out Flowmaster and it sounded really good, but when I put the Borla XR1 on I picked up approx 15HP. It made as much of a differance as gears and rockers on my car. I would not recommend it, unless you buy the system then swap the mufflers which is actually probably the cheaper way to go.

Does magnaflow even carry exhaust for an 82-92 f-body?

 

What about MAC cat back? anyone hear a z with MAC cat back? how did it sound?
