Finished my true dual

I actually finished the true dual setup last year but havn't posted the finished part of it. Anyway, here are some pics of the 2.5 inch Summit X-pipe with Edelbrock mufflers all welded up and painted. Also, I used another X-pipe and fabed up some tailpipes with Summit glasspacks. Under axle. The tailpipes connect with a 3 bolt flange. I repainted my stock tips and used a U bolt clamp them on.

Here it is on the car.

It is actually pretty quiet with the tailpipes on. But when I take off the tailpipes it gets loud. Best of both worlds I guess. Here is the first thread I made about this when it was all clamped together.

I also channeled the unibody where the Pacesetter longtube was hitting the driverside. I welded a "mini subframe connector" and welded it in place of the channel and put a heat sheild also. Here is some pics of that. It made it easy to to bolt on the new X-pipe.

Here is a video of how it sounds without the tailpipes.

Good job with the band clamps. I have been singing their praises since I used them a couple years ago on my car. They make life so much easier.

Looks great, especially so for a homemade setup. I don't know about cutting the body underneath there, though! Do you have any clips of the sound with the tailpipes on there?

No sounds with the tailpipes on, just that one so far with no tails. I can try to get some with the tailpipes on there. The tailpipes quiet it down a lot.

That would be awesome. I really want to hear it with teh tails. Those edelbrock mufflers sound a lot like flowmasters. They have that metallic sound..don't know how else to describe it. I personally like it a lot. Do the glasspacks change the tone of the exhaust much?

Yes it does change the tone. It's not as deep with the glasspacks.
