exhaust system tuning...

so i got my headers on, and the high flow cats.

the thing is, the cats make the length too long to run an X pipe like i had planned.

it looks like i'm going to have to use an H pipe instead.

SO, i got to thinking, i remembered a bunch of stuff i learned about placing a balance tube in a certain spot will increase torque dramatically (given the primary runner length, collector diameter and length, and length of reducers)

if anyone could help me place this H pipe at the right distance down the pipes so i can get more of a benefit from it i would greatly appreciate it.

i cant find the calculators i used to use when i was messing around with this idea a long time ago

primaries are 30 inches, collector is 10 inches long with a 3 inch diameter, 1-3/4 diameter primaries, reducers are 8 inches long and go from 3 inch to 2.5 inch.

also....last thing, how will an H pipe sound instead of an X pipe. i've tried listening to LS1sounds.com but every dang clip is an LS1 with a massive cam. so it's not too much of a help.

thanks everyone
