exhaust setup?

Alright, i need your opinion on an exhaust setup for my car. I just got a gm847 cam, ported heads and that stuff done. I have FLP headers right now w/ a hooker catback.

my problem is that the hooker catback is too quiet for me...i love the sound in the rpm range...but i want something that louder. I know just full out straight pipes will solve that, but i also drive this car quite a bit on the road, so i dont need something crazy like open headers lol

all advice will be helpful, thanks!

My opinion, get a cutout. Electric cutouts run about $175 through DMH and then the cutout itself is about $30. Most likely cheaper than any of your other options, and you can turn it quiet when you're driving late at night, around cops, etc. I love my cutout!

Edit: I see you already have cutouts. Is that not quite the sound you're looking for?

Why not just get an xpipe kit with some type of mufflers then dumps to keep noise reasonable, but throw cutouts right after the headers for when its necessary for it to be loud? BTW thats the setup im considering

yes, true duals are quite loud, and do attract a lot of attention, i wouldnt recommend it if ur trying to keep on the DL from cops

maybe get the GMMG or corsa or something? GMMG sounds good

i don't want to try and steal your post but someone said something about cutouts right after the headers on an x-pipe and i was considering that. would that cause any kind of restriction b/c x-pipes flow so good?
