Exhaust System From headers to exhaust tips

is exhaust interchangeable from lt1 to ls1

is exhaust interchangeable from lt1 to ls1

all i want is my tips and muffler from my lt1 on to a new z28 whenever i get it

Generally speaking, if you're talking about the muffler and tips only, yes they are interchangeable. I say "generally" because you don't list which muffler and tips you have.

If you're talking about catback, there is a minor difference between the LS1 and LT1, but nothing a good muffler shop couldn't modify.

i'm not sure on all types, but i know the slp loudmouth i had is technically made for the LS1 cars, but for the LT1s you get the same system plus an "LT1 installation kit" which is just an extra hanger or so. not sure if you're talking about a stock muffler/tips or aftermarket so can't be much more help.

I believe it is the i-pipe portion that differs between the two. Not a big deal for an exhaust shop.

The `96-97 Dual Cat LT1 cars can use the same exhaust as an LS1 car cause the I pipes are the same length. The Single cat LT1 cars use a different I pipe.
