Exhaust cut out question...

Well, I already have a good flowing true dual setup w/ 2.5" pipes. But the mufflers I chose are fairly quiet and leave me wanting a bit more sound sometimes. The tone is perfect.. but like I said, a bit on the quiet side making me ring her out more sometimes to get the lovely growling sound I want to hear lol.

More to the point, I'm looking for a cheap set of cut-outs to put in before the mufflers. I'm thinking of just the standard design with wingnuts and a plate to remove. Do these work very well though? seems to me like without something blocking off flow in the other direction with an already good flow rate it wouldn't change much, or just sound like an exhaust leak.

basically - what do you guys recommend on the cheap side of cut-outs?

electric is out of the question - looking to spend < $150

the regular cutouts will be fine.

they've worked well for thousands of guys.

biggest issue may be lose of ground clearance due to the flange/plate

Good to hear, thanks teke!

Though a drop in ground clearance is nearly impossible.. lol. I'll likely mount it just before the muffler, and that's the highest part of my exhaust setup haha

MM 52.. which island was that?
