wondering if anyone knows any tricks to opening a header gasket to match my port on my head. i just took the gasket off and noticed that some of the exhaust was hitting the gasket. i tried to open them up with my air grinder and grinding stone, but it seemed as if it was squishing down the material which would not let it seal properly. i'm going to go with a set of 1406's again.

 

I bought a set of earlys gaskets and they look like they would be easy as hell to port since they are basically just graphite.

 

I used an Exacto knife to open mine up. Also make sure your headers are not obstructing the ports.
