dynomax DUAL 2.25" exhaust??

anyone else see this listed in Summit? saw it in the catalog and decided to look it up.

the PDF file shows a sketch of it....running side by side over the axle.

this could be EASILY adapted to most late model Fbodies. 2.25" is a bit smaller than most, but would still flow pretty damn well.

cross sectional area is about 7.8 sq inches, while a single 3" pipe is 7.0 sq inches.

Those bends look pretty restrictive. But that is really cheap for true duals.

they do seem a bit more restrictive than pure mandrel bends. but they don't appear to be crush bent.

for someone looking for TDs...rear exit...but not planning for huge power. they could work out well.

mathmatically they are about 11% bigger than a single 3" pipe.

just thought it was interesting.

would be interesting to rig up some 3" duals into a pair of cutouts before the axle...then use the 2.25" the rest of the way back. so when you want tame you have it with decent flow.
but when you want LOUD, you have it with max power
