Dynomax bullet exhaust street legal??

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the Dynomax bullet exhaust(part#19418) at summitracing.com is street legal sound wise?

Appears this is for an LS1. Generally, you can replace the parts after the cat without problems. This is a "cat back" system, so that part is OK. Where you are probably going to have a problem is the fact that it provides no more than 2 - 4dB noise reduction compared to a straight pipe. Whether that is "legal" will depend on where you live, what the allowable noise level is, and how closely they enforce the requirements. In some states, they will not allow an exhaust noise level that is louder than "stock". In other areas, they may state a specific dB level for the exhaust system. Depends where you live.

re

Dan White, I put the longer bullet 3" version in my I-pipe before it goes over the axle to my flowmaster cat back. Car has FLP headers, no cats, bullet muffler and the crossflow flowmaster muffler, it is still loud! But it does help the drone, Art I think it would be really loud when you gave it the peddle
