Loud, like open headers LOL.
I wouldn't cut them into the LTs, but certainly anywhere between where the cat was and the rear axle should be fine.

Having lost a car to a fire (which started under the passenger floorboard) I'm not a fan of having the cutout up front.

It'll be pretty loud and have the effect of open headers, if that is the sound you are after, then by all means go for it. You may get some interior drone and rattling though as a result.

there will probably be some clearance issues with them right behind the collector. i would put them a little farther back. it should give plenty of room for the cutout (flange hangs low) and will still give all the power and sound.

but i say just go for true duals

here are 2 vids of my car...a cammed 400rwhp LS1. LTs, no cats...the first one is the Xpipe with no mufflers. the second is with magnaflow straight thru mufflers. it's still loud enough to wake the neighboors with the mufflers...yet...you can barely hear it in the video. so it works good for comparison. the camera wasn't moved between vids. and you can even hear my footsteps and the door chime...for more comparison
open LTs is ear splitting loud!!
open Xpipe
magnaflow mufflers

other than sound...there won't be any noticable gain...assuming you use decent mufflers.

for the added cost and possible loss of clearance...i don't think its worth it.

i've gotten more compliments on my exhaust sound since i put the mufflers on. before the comments were more like "wow that's loud" and they never even heard it WOT...just idling and it was too loud for most
