Exhaust System From headers to exhaust tips

Cutout under rear seat. Do I need to protect underside?

Cutout under rear seat. Do I need to protect underside?

I am putting the cutout right under the passenger seat so do I need any thing to protect the underside from the exhaust? Maybe a heat shield or something like that.

i dont, i have mine right after where my cat used to be. Right at the bend in the exhaust under the PS front seat.

I put mine where the cat was and if I remember correctly their was already a heat shield there...but I may be mistaken. I really wouldnt worry about it if their wasnt though

there is protection already. Thats why many GM cars have the front passenger side hump. Its already there, no need for extra.
