catback question.
i would say yes because imo the magnaflow is way too quiet of an exhaust. i love my borla and even with LTs i still run it with no plate and love the sound, sometimes wish it was even louder. i think borla is a great way to go
borla is a $700 cutout
with the plate fully opens loud and raspy like a cutout, only advantage is the sound is coming out the rear of the car instead of reverberating under the car like a cutout.
my old magnaflow setup was dynoed by its previous owner....with a cutout installed he only gained 4hp over the muffler. so to me the only advantage the borla has is sound...and even that isn't much better in my opinion.
the MF is a great setup for the money, and flows very well. quiet around town but screams at WOT.
i guess it depends on exactly how much you consider "way better" to actually be

^ you make some good points and it is true, its what YOU are looking for in sound and power. IMO magnaflow is just waaaay too quiet, unless your cammed then it sounds pretty nice. but i've heard many cars with LTs, ORY and magnaflow and its just too quiet, i like my low toned aggressive idle. magnaflow is a good brand though and does provide great gains. its all about what you want in sound really
