Can I open up a electronic cut out while cars on and/or while moving?

I think stock catbacks were 2.75" on that car,
If you're happy with it and the flowmaster you have in it that would be the size to get.

how hard/expensive would it be to go bigger? I am about to have a new cat put in my car so I could have it done at the same time. what would the benefits be on my car?

The easiest way is to just purchase a 3" catback (I pipe, muffler and tailpipes).
I'm a big fan of Hooker's system, but there are plenty of choices.

Install a 3" high-flow cat, you can always mate that up with a nice set
of headers and Y pipe later.
(Random tech even makes a direct replacement 2-cat Y pipe)

Put it right before the rear axle.

I have never had trouble with cops with my cutout open, just make sure you know they are around you and take it easy till they are gone.

I had a manual cutout for 6 months before I got the electric plate for it, I love the plate it makes it fun, cause you can open and close it when you like without stopping pr crawling on the ground

I thought this was a cool upgrade to the ecut out. Watch the part about the cutout switch. You dont even have to touch it. I like the automatic opening when u hit the gas.

I think thats really cool. I'd like to be able to control mine manually just so I can "sleep" until the exact moment. I bet that thing is expensive

Having it exit under your floorpan before the cat means really hot gases.
I lost my 95 due to a fire with open headers. I won't ever do that again.

Having a cutout further back is safer IMHO.

Not to mention it should cut back on interior vibrations as well.

It'll sound very good and not be overbearing enough to kill your ears.

Just take the cat off, it fits great in the spot right under the rear sea/ before the axle and it cuts back on the interior vibrations
