bypassing my muffler

i guys, what would be the advantages/disadvantages of adding a bypass to my OEM muffler, how do you think it would sound like?

im looking for something like this

If you're going to do that, a cut out would be a better alternative.

The inlet is in front of the passenger side tailpipe not how you got it in that pic, wouldn't really work to well.

Yup, I believe he's right.

Just get a cutout.

sorry about the pic i saw the bypass on a vette muffler and i draw it like that

so where's the best place to put a manual cut out?? after the muffler??

most people put them before the muffler. It wouldn't make any sense to put it anywhere else

Under the rear seat on the passenger side there is a nice rise in the floor board. This is a great spot to place a cut out. You can easily reach under in front of the tire and open it.

It'd be like the Borla... It can get raspy... But it would flow better... a Little bit.. Get a cutout and stick it behind the Y or Before the muffler...

Or for the price of an electric cutout you COULD get a Magnaflow CB.. (maybe a little more)

Borlas are only raspy w/an ORY. I have a twister muffler in the I of my Borla and there is no rasp.

Thats another alternative. Just put a muffler in your I pipe and dump it down or out to the side or run a pipe out the back if you want.
