Breslin Header Bolts?
Anyone ever purchased from this company, http://www.apo.com.au/ ? I sent them an email a week or so ago and haven't heard anything.
From reading various posts, I get the impression that the Breslin split locks used to be the preferred header bolt. Considering that they're no longer sold in the US, I was just curious if anyone had ever dealt with this company, or knew why the bolts might still be available for sale in Australia.
If this is legit, are they worth the extra money? International shipping alone is listed at 40 bucks.
I'm assuming I would want either of the following:
600-101 SB GM/GM V6 (not 2.8ltr)/BB Chrysler/AMC-V8 (suit Holden V8) 12 3/8"X1" 12pt $111.00
600-102 BB GM/SB & BB Ford 16 3/8"X1" 12pt $141.00
I'm assuming those are the same bolt, just a different package quantity.

The breslins are great in design but they are a pain to install when you have very little room to turn a wrench. They have 12 pt heads which limit tool options and then you have to tighten down the allen key pin that goes through the center.
I'm actually going to be replacing my breslins with some arbs w/ lock washers.
EDIT: Heres the link to summit from back when I got em, the picture is wrong however. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...4&autoview=sku

Sometimes the six is better.....you have to use a box end for a 12. Most headers I have had the pipe was touching the head of the bolt it was so close. No way at all to get a boxed end wrench on it
I run them on my Lt1....
its been well over two yeas and I have not had one problem with them.....
Unlike mdacton ,I would rather spend the coin then cranking down on my header bolts every weekend.

I have run them on my car as well with mixed results, some of them backed out and some of them didn't so IDK. Personally I think that running a grade 8 bolt and lock washer is fine, worked great for me so far. The important thing, for me at least, was to get the inch long bolts instead of the 3/4.

I would also rather spend a little more for a good bolt and most people seem to rave about these bolts. It's unfortunate that they are no longer widely available. The only place I've found that carries the Breslins is the site I posted, which was posted by someone else in another thread. They haven't returned my email. I may try to give them a call.
I can get my hands on a few Breslin products.
I can get
12 point standard header bolts 5/16" X 1" (12 pack)
12 point stainless collector bolts 3/8" X 1" (6 pack)
black chrome moly locking manifold bolt kit 8mm thread X 25mm long (12 pack)

Order form still seems functional.

No idea if APO is a surplus liquidator of if they have started production again.

Yeah, their order form seems to work. I'm just concerned that they never responded to my email. I could call them, but I've never placed an international call. Maybe it's time to learn. There seems to be a huge time difference.
