Which is the better catback system between these two?

I am looking at either a Magnaflow, or a Random Technologies catback system for my LS1. I have had Magnaflow before on my 94 Formula, and I liked it. However the Random Technologies offers a similar catback exhaust tip wise, plus it is cheeper. I know the Magnaflow is stainless steel, therefore it shouldn't rust. The Random Tech's catback is aluminized steel, and I'm not sure if it is rust proof or not.

My question is, which one is the better exhuast system (from those who have personal experience). Will both give me the same HP gains?

Aluminized isn't rust proof.

Get wich ever you like best. Performance will be the same.

I've done some research and it seems that the concensus is that magnaflow is a great bang for the buck! I just bought my 93-97 magnaflow from ead performance- they had the cheapest price out many places that I checked. The did $340 shipped for me. If you want to check them out visit their website or call em 586-473-6538.

An all stainless steel catback for around 300 bucks, you can't beat that. Magnaflow gets my vote.

I am leaning towards the magnaflow, however the Random Tech is cheeper so it is naturally tempting. Especially if it gives the same power and is also rust proof.

For a similar price there is also the choice of the Edelbrock, Hooker or the Pypes cat-back systems, check out www.fasttoys.net
All the best,Mark.

My experience with "aluminized" metals is that it is not rust-proof.

This might be all the difference I need to have my mind made up to go with another MF catback.
