I currently have a set of Jet Hots on order with Custom SSI ... hopefully arriving within the next ~week or two ... hoping they work out to be as good as everyone says?? They seem like a good "bang for the buck" next to Pacesetters.

The thing that you'll really like about the Jet Hots is the way they fit. The fitment is perfect, there's a half an inch of clearance everywhere around the headers and y-pipe.
One tip. Leave the headers loose until the y-pipe is all slid together, then tighten the headers, then clamp the y-pipe.

Sweet, thanks Al! Are these Jet Hots likely to bang on the bottom of the car like a lot of people say happens with LTs on 4th-gens?? (curious if I should do the poly motor mounts while I'm at it? ).

Usually clearance problems are a result of worn out motor mounts. To be safe, it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace them. Afterall, a pair of poly mounts runs about fifty bucks and they will be a heck of alot easier to install when the stock manifolds and y-pipe are out of the way.

Nope, there's enough clearance that even with worn mounts they don't hit anything. The set I installed was on a high mileage 98 Camaro.

Although changing them with while doing the headers will be easier.

i hear kooks are one of the best, but if you are on a budget and want a good fitting set of headers at a reasonable price, then go with hooker or pacesetters
