backpressure of Moroso Spiral and DynoMax Bullet

So....I am putting a resonator thingy on the car to quiet it down. 3.5"

I have a spiral on hand and would need to buy the bullet.

Both are the right length with some trimming to keep things tucked nicely.

So, what about the restriction of either. Is the spiral going to cause a drastic decrease in flow or is the difference marginal in 3.5" diameters as compared to the bullet....?

Just on looks and my experience with the bullet here's what I am thinking:
Bullet has minimal restriction and decent low-rpm baffling, but is truly a blow-thru with minimal turbulence as high flows.
The Spiral looks to offer good baffling at all rpm, but could be a stove pipe at higher flows.

I've heard from some though that the spiral still flows comparatively to the bullets.

Someone throw me a clue here.

I've done a 3 1/2 Mufflex with a spintech chamberd muffler. My app is FI (97ss - 383 - D1). It did not flow well. I installed a QTP cut-out. This allow the engine to free rev to 7k rpm. But, more noise. So... Since then, I purchased a dynomax 3 1/2" in/out glass ultraflo welded muff. Chambered may work on a NA application, but not to good for FI. I think the muff you have is OK for NA and single cat_back exhaust. My thoughts... Hope this helps. B.

Thanks for the reply. Seems odd no one had a response. If I asked about how cool it sounded or something folks would pipe right up.

BTW. It's a single-cat (with a single brick cat now) with a flowmaster 50-series deltaflow single in/out. I removed the cutout from the i-pipe (didn't use anymore) and it seems that made the car much louder. That thing must have been acting as a quasi-baffle to reflect some sound.

If I don't like it or it doesn't perform well we can always just get a bullet and repalce this thing. I'm using this because we already have it and I'm tired of the noise.
