Thinking of putting a muffler at this spot like a hooker or borla turbo maybe, i don't know. But am thinking of improving the sound a little. Doesn't sound to bad as the loudmouth, but maybe something a little different. I just had this used lm catback installed so i don't really want to change it now. Maybe a bit more refined. I am aware of the dynamouth and borlamouth spots of the switch.

There isn't much clearance under there for a full sized muffler. You'd probably end up getting it hung up on something.

I just went with a Borla XR-1 5" round muffler on my slp Loudmouth cat back and couldnt be happier. I hated the way the LM resonator sounded-way too much drone etc. The Borlamouth sounds awsome!! Just make sure you put the new muffler right before the exhaust goes over the rear axle. ls1sounds.com has pictures. Anyways I love the Borla it sounds awsome.

I have a Pro-Flo Twister in the I of my Borla w/no block off plates. This is basicly a LM, except w/the twister I have no drone.

I had a 4" Mufflex system. I scraped the I towards the back enough times that I wouldn't try a 5" muffler back there.

Hmm. Good good. Yes I guess they don't call it loudmouth for nothing with all the drone. It sort of takes away some integrity. I guess i was getting to use to the stock, but still it was too quiet. Now it's drone city, and not so much in a good way. 5 inches does seem a little big back there. You guys think putting a muffler in the back were the stock would be by the tailpipes would cut the drone in half while leaving the slp resonator on? It would be a single inlet/outlet muffler to tailpipe. My reasoning tells me to just replace the resonator like you guys did, and if i still want to put a muffler back there I can. I can even just replace the resonator with straight piping and get a muffler for the back while still retaining the cutout side. I read somewhere that someone took there slp exhaust off and found out it was actually louder than straight pipe.

My intention was to put a restictor plate on my Borla to make it run through the big muffler all the time. I put the twister in because I bought the catback used for a really good deal and it didn't come with the plate and I didn't want it to sound like a$$ until I got a plate. It was only ~$25. I like the sound and tone enough I have yet to fab a plate and even run it through the other full sized muffler. Give the twister a try. My car is driven daily and w/the twister it actually has less drone than my Spintech did.
