I put alot of money into my headers and x-pipe true duals ect. but I'm having a reaccuring problem of the my collector bolts loosening up and blowing out gaskets. So I was looking at these stage 8 bolts but there $50 shipped here. $50 for steel bolts?

I don't think you're cheap, I wondered the same thing. I guess they can charge what they want since they are locking bolts and there aren't many other solutions on the market in that segment. If you are constantly blowing out gaskets, the expense and labor involved could easily justify the 50 dollar pricetag.

Have you tried Lock-tite yet? IIRC the red will hold up to the heat.

You could also run copper collector gaskets. That way when it loosens up, it won't burn it up.

Check the flanges and make sure they are flat. Try the Percy's dead soft aluminum collector gaskets. Get longer bolts for the collector flanges, and double-nut them.

Percy's gaskets are the best, Im using their header gaskets and am missing a bolt or two because of bolt fitment (just temporarily til i get some) and they still dont leak!

Get percy's gaskets, longer bolts/studs like injuneer said and then double nut them and locktite them.... you will never get another leak!
