After Pacesetters mids install i have leak

The mids came with a Y pipe and it gave 2 clamps to attach it with. There is a load exhaust leak and brown/black residue coming from the clamp area. Is there an easy fix or way to bandage it? I think they make clamps better than U ones that seal better. The muffler shop says they can't weld coated headers but maybe there is a way to seal them.

Cant they grined the coating off in that specific area and weld it, you can get clamps that are much better then the skinny U clamps they are flatter and wider clamps i think its something like the ones that Borla catbacks use but not sure.
