Advice on blowmaster

My 95 Z has some no name single exit muffler on it right now, looks like stock size pipe. I have a blowmaster dual exit muffler I pulled off my 98 parts car with larger than stock pipes, havnt measured anything yet, just pulled the slowmaster off. I know not many people like the flowmaster, but would it be better flow and performance wise than this thing thats on there now? Kind of a dumb question I know, not knowing anything about the single exit thats on there. But in theory, wouldnt the dual exit with bigger pipes be better? Or do the blowmasters actually inhibit flow that much?

Just want something better (and I already have it, came with parts car) until I can build my true duals.

yes it will be better. Put it on.

They are not as bad as some people make them out to be. Plus I love the sound of a Flowmaster. Especially on a stock LT1.

I need to measure it and try to find out what series it is. Figured it had to flow better than a single exit. Plus its gotta be a little louder and hopefully deeper sound than whats on it. Right now kinda sounds a touch louder than stock, but I havnt really got to run it more than a few minutes yet. More worried about how raspy its gonna be, the previous owners had a straight pipe welded in place of the cat. A slightly smaller piece of pipe at that, so that will need attention as well. Oh well thats why they are projects/toys, get to fix and improve what other people didnt or tore up/rigged.

+1 people can keep their borla, hooker, magnaflow, whatever. I'll take the tone of a flowmaster every single time.

Previous dynos only say you only loose about 5 hp or so.(inhibit flow).Duals,????Unless you are full race,I wouldn't do duals, might inlarge the intermediate pipe though.beer time.

Wanna buy my Flowmaster I freakin hate it WAY TOO QUIET. I just don't have the money to do anything different right now. It is barely above stock sound, and just not happy.

My flowmaster 3" crossflow is louder that hell. The 2.5" crossflow I had on my 84 T/A was louder than hell too. I don't know why/how you guys got ones that are quiet.
