97 Z28 Crossover Pipe No Go!

Hello! I am a newbe and need some help with my 97' LT1 exhaust. I installed a new pan (Summit aftermarket) and the crossover pipe will not fit between the crossmember and pan to allow connection to exhaust on the right side flange. I just finished installing a new pan, crank sensor, starter, flywheel, dual friction clutch, t56 trans, slave cylinder, shaft and joints. I hope I can figure out the exhaust dilema without tearing it apart again. I would certainly appreciate any advise someone can give. Thanks in advance!

Not sure how you would get around that, the factory y-pipe does hug pretty close to the pan. The previous owner of my car bottomed it out and cracked the y-pipe which ended up pushing into the oil pan and leaving a nice size dent. I'm not sure how much clearance you need, but maybe it is something an exhaust shop can fix for you. Otherwise, it would be a good opportunity to get long tube headers and y-pipe. The y-pipe won't even come close to the oil pan then.

Yeah you can only really use the jegs/summit x-pipe kits if you're running LT's. Lots of people including myself forget to mention that. It's just that it's expected you most likely have headers already if you want the best out of your exhaust.
