2 converter with different lengths. Which is better?

I need a new converter. I found the Magnaflow for around $50 on Ebay. They have a 13" and a 16" length. The part numbers are 94109 & 94009. I have no idea which one would be better. Does the length make a difference and would it be better or worse? I was thinking the shorter the flow the better but just a guess.

Most people run the 94109.

Because of the tight clearances underneath the car, a shorter converter would be of great benefit.

I am probably being to picky but i found the 94009 is shorter but is only rated to maximum 5.9L 360CI. The 94109 is 3 inches longer and rated 6.2L 378CI so i assume the later is the better one espically since i figure on dropping in a 383 when this one blows up. Not much different but it makes me feel like i have extra room to play with.

Actually, I think the 94109 is the shorter of the 2. The 94100 series is their short universal converter.

I bought the 94109 because its shorter. I want to add the cutout so i think this will give me the extra room. It was also $10 cheaper.
