Thanks for the info. I always liked the way the stock exhaust sounded on my car. If I could get a similar sound in a 3", that would be great. I like the deep, throaty kind of sound and I'm worried about how my car is going to sound with something other than the stock exhaust.

I just found a used SLP 2OTL on EBay for 799.00 & 50.00 shipping. That's pretty steep for a used exhaust.

That isn't a used price, thats new. Some suppliers still have new unused 2otl's in stock, that happens to be one of them. Keep looking, actual used ones pop up ever now and then.

If you cant find one, or don't want to wait, consider a hooker cat-back. Very deep and mellow tone from that.

Here is a link. It says it's used.

I want to go stainless and Magnaflow seems like a pretty good deal, but all I've heard are clips of any of these exhausts. I think it's hard to tell what they sound like in comparison to stock without some bass, which my computer speakers ain't got much of.

I just realized that the ad says it's both new & used. So maybe it is new.

Ya that is the price for a new system. No way that is used, and if so, don't pay that much.

I can't comment on the magnaflow, as ive never heard it in person. But i can for the hooker, i have it on my car, and have heard it on numerous others. Deep and mellow.

I'm sure the magnaflow sounds good as well.

Keep your eye out for a 2otl on ebay. I see them pop up from time to time.

i have this catback on my 97'SS, i cant wait to pull the cats and put on my LT's. Its gonna sound really mean then. BTW, i also believe its the best sounding catback for LTx cars!

I got mine off of Ebay earlier this year. It's raspy with headers, but I like the raspy sound. A lot quieter than I thought it would be too, but that's OK. I wouldn't want any other exhaust on the car.

Raspy with headers? Bummer. Is there an exhaust out there that isn't raspy with headers? I hate raspy.

I've heard many videos with lt's ory and the 2otl. I wouldnt consider it raspy.

By the sounds of it, we have similar taste in exhaust note Bill. You will be pleased with the sound of the 2otl, with headers, or not. If you can't find a 2otl, my next recomendation would be a hooker.

I just listened to a clip with Mac Mids and it sounded very good from what I could tell through computer speakers. It almost sounded like the stock exhaust on my '94. I also like that it was a factory option on the SS Camaros. That's a lot of money for an exhaust though.

Does anyone have pics of this setup? I'm not sure how I feel about 2 outlets on one side and I'm not sure I've ever actually seen that before.

So, this should bolt right up to the stock locations on a '94 and should work with Kooks headers and their offroad Y-Pipe?

Is the quality and performance of this exhaust in line with the more expensive stainless catbacks like Borla etc.?

Thanks, but that link keeps redirecting me to the myspace homepage. I don't have a myspace account, if that matters.

Thanks. Considering how good it sounds, I could probably get used to that look.

I contacted the seller and he claims the exhaust will fit both LT1's and LS1's. Is he telling the truth?

Are these exhausts comparable in quality and performance with other systems in that price range like Borla, Corsa, GMMG etc.?

I don't know if it'll fit an LS1 or not. As far as quality goes, the muffler is stainless steel and the tips are pollished stainless all the way back to the muffler. The piping is typical aluminized steal. Mine is ten years old with no rust at all. The only thing that MIGHT be an issue... the over the axle pipe that came with mine had a place where they had welded two elbows together, and it actually makes a sharp angle instead of a smooth bend. On top of that there was a nasty squashed place in it for clearence of the panhard rod. If you buy two 3 inch elbows and band-clamp them together (or weld it if you're cool) you can make your own and it'll work fine and clear everything. That's what I did cause there was no way I was using the crappy pipe that came with it. That being said, that was just the one that I bought... I don't know if they were all that way or not. Just be sure to ask for pictures before you buy anything.

I always thought when exhausts are advertised as stainless steel that meant everything was stainless, maybe with the exception of the hangers etc. Is that not the case?

I'll definitely request pics before I purchase anything. I'm just hesitant to drop over 800 on a catback when the Magnaflow is so much less. But it sounds very good and not a lot of people have them.

Any idea if SLP manufactured LS1 specific 2OTL's?

Sorry for all of the questions, but I appreciate all of the feedback I've been given.
