1995 z28 headers!?
1995 z28 headers!?
hey guys, I have a 95 z28 in the middle of a rebuild. its almost completely stock besides a cold air intake, and a few high performance things we've put in it during the rebuild. no major changes. I discovered the passenger side exhaust manifold has a crack in it so I'm just ganna go ahead and buy some longtube headers for it but I'm not sure what brand would be best or would fit in the car best?? could you guys give me some tips and help a guy out!?
it has stock pipes that go into flowmaster exhaust and duals out of that.

Re: 1995 z28 headers!?
The Pacesetter long tubes seem to provide the best "bang for the buck". They are on the low end of the price scale, and most people do not have problems with the install. Then there are Hookers, and at the high end, Kooks. ($1,000+). Depends on your budget.
Whatever you buy, consider a quality ceramic coating to reduce engine compartment temperatures, reduce rust and heat cycle weld cracking, and improved scavenging for a couple extra HP.

Re: 1995 z28 headers!?
thanks! that's what im going with. I found some stainless pacesetter Lt's that come with a y pipe for $350. im also getting an electronic cutout to install on it so it has a rumble when I want it to!
Re: 1995 z28 headers!?
ive heard good things about the coated headers its just im on a pretty low budget. so I figured if I got the stainless and just put heat wrap around them it would help? is this a good idea?
