Bay Area members, sound off...
Re: Bay Area members, sound off...
NHRA is ganna be at Sears Point/Infineon Raceway through July 29-31 (the last weekend of July). That would be a good event to meet up at after the Bay Area get-together your planning. I"ll have my digi camera so I can take pictures of your car's and then post them on my website for ya'll to check out. Just let me know.
Hollister Independance Bike Rally is ganna be in Downtown Hollister through July 1-3 (the first weekend of July) Maybe that could be a good gathering event as well. Meet up in Gilroy to take pics and then off to your gathering and then stop in to see the Bike Rally.
.....just some ideas.

i meant the 24th. i was pretty hammered last night and thought the 23rd was a sunday. anyways, i edited my post.
sunday, july 24th. that's the day.
everyone, start posting what you'll bring. i can grab whatever random crap we need. i'll also bring some beer (30 pack of Coors should be enough plus it's cheap). btw, if you're under 21 you're not drinking. i'll check id's if i have to because i'm not getting busted. it's almost happened before and it sucks.
put me down for beer so far. i can also bring plates, napkins and some hotdogs or something.
post what you guys plan on bringing.
as for what we'll need:
charcoal
lighter fluid + something good to light it (i'm not messing with a lighter after the last time there)
condiments
hot dogs + buns - i'm bringing
burgers + buns
soda
beer - i'm bringing
plates and napkins - i'm bringing
cups
bbq utensils (very important)
chips, cookies, other random **** to munch on
lettuce and tomatoes and other crap for burgers (we can get this right before we bbq)
if you guys think of more stuff, post up. i'll try to get around to editing the first post with stuff that we need and who's bringing this weekend.

Re: Bay Area members, sound off...
What exactly is this event going to be? Just a BBQ or can we arrange to hit a strip and do some 1/4 miles times or dyno runs?
Where do you guys wanna hold it?
If nobody has any idea of how this is going to happen, I can assist in planning the meet.
I will take care of my part in terms of what food etc to bring. But it doesn't look like anything is gonna happenuntil we start making it firm on date, time, and place.
I'm in the Bay Area and don't really mind driving down to where the majority of you guys stay, but I want it to be more than a little BBQ for it to be worth the call off work and gas.
LETS PLAN THIS THING ALREADY!!

Re: Bay Area members, sound off...
usually we just hang out and bbq. i think that's party because a lot of us have known each other for awhile.
i don't really feel like planning anything past the bbq. if people want to do stuff afterwards, you could plan it if you want.
i've got a list of some of the stuff we'll need a couple of posts up.
probably wait and see if people are interested in doing something else too.

I'm still interested, but I don't know what's going on with the other members. It looks like the thing is never gonna happen unless we have a date, time, location, and a sign in sheet of who is going. I think we agreed it was on a saturday, right?
Re: Bay Area members, sound off...
**** guys.... I think i screwed myself. I just got a job up here in chico last week, and I don't know if I am going to be able to get that weekend off. I am the only one who works there weekends, so asking for them off means someone has to take over the whole weekend for me.
I am terribly sorry. I hate being the one who cancels, and I have always tried never to do that. But I hope you guys can still get togehter. Don't be lame and cancel for no reason. I was gonna drive down from Chico solely for the bbq.
Jeff: Tell me when you are leaving. Let me know if you have any tuesdays or thursdays off and Laura and I can come down so we can all hang out.
Take care everyone
