where's a good place to get my car scanned for SES codes?
where's a good place to get my car scanned for SES codes?
My car started stumbling awhile back and it's getting worse. Now my SES light is on and it's drinking gas and running rich. Where near fayetteville can I get an OBD1 car scanned and not pay out the a$$ for it?
Re: where's a good place to get my car scanned for SES codes?
That's what I was thinking at first too, but the opti has only 25k miles on it, 20k of which are highway. It's only 7-8 months old. I did the vented swap on my '94 so it's all new.
It drinks gas and would drive fine in the city, but now it loads up and burns gas like a **** on the highway. Haven't had this problem until recently.

You may want to look up Bob Dalton in the Fayetteville area. I used to have his phone number but I can't seem to find it or I would have PM'd it to you. He may have a scanner and may have some ideas as to what may be going on. Other than that I would recommend contacting Jeff (Milkman) at Carolina Auto Masters in Durham: 919-680-3966 He has a website but I can't remember if it's www.carolinaautomasters.com or not. Good luck.
Edit: Yeah, that's his site.
