LOL actually I think we all need to make a trip to Chilton County. From what I understand it is the best hooking track around bar none, but its a well kept secret.

Erik you know anyone around who can set my computer up for my 3:73s? I dont need a tune I just need to get my speedo, and odom running correctly. How much?

I just got the rebuilt 10 bolt in today, and took it for a quick 20 mile drive then let it cool. I am still breaking it in but it feels really good (hard to compare since I have no idea how a F-Bodys rear should be since mines always been busted). I have a used Locker in it, solid pinion spacer, all new bearings, shims, races, girdle cover and everything was set up by an old school racer who is a friend of the family.

All I need now is to get the computer set up for the 3:73s so my odometer, and speedo read right, and the tranny shifts as it should and I will be right as rain!

Lemme see. IF im not mistaken Allen has a decent, usable, tuner cat program, and should be able to help you out. He changed up my cooling fans, and skip shift delete for me. I believe he should be able to help you out.. if he still has it on his laptop , of course. Hope that helps...

LOL well this is the southern forums I guess if your gonna find manners in any regional forums it would be this one. Celeste when will you get those parts on, and get some new times? It dont count being not stock till you get those things on your car...If that was the case Erik would have a dragster

Erik when do you plan to have your car ready to run again? Nov., Dec.? or are you gonna wait till after the baby comes and after the new year etc to start working on it again?

The headers and stuff are on and all I have managed to pick up is .6 mile and hour.

I am dreaming of cooler weather already boys!
I am ordering a new gear install kit for the gears and then.....the car is going up for sale!

I have been thinking about it for a couple of days, just havent decided if I am ready to part with her yet. I am looking to get an LS1. The for sale sign hasn't been bought yet...but I am thinking about it.

So far I am consistanly at 14.0 @ 99.60....everyone says I will pick up some time when it cools down. I don't know...I am so discouraged right now I would probably sell her the highest bidder.

I am sure Erik will have some good incite on this as he is in the same boat as you are but has more parts then you and I put together on his car.

Cooler weather makes a HUGE difference. I know it did for me running in 90* weather vs. 55* weather is almost .7-.5 differenance for me. Not to mention you cannot make good times without traction. I have some DR's I will gladly let you use ANYTIME you want to.

I completely understand wanting a LS1 but I am here to tell you while the LS1 IMHO is the best engine ever built you will find yourself in several situations you wont like. For one car payments, or having to pay +the price of a LS1 just to run the same times you already do.

A stall, gears, and tires are gonna be the road map to great times. Just be patient, and have some goals.

Yes , be patient. I know how frustrated u r, but wait till it gets cooler, ur gears are in, and u got a stall. Ull be happier, im sure. Dont give up on it yet. LT1's r a great motor. Oh by the way, if u or anybody else is interested, a friend on mine has a 93' LT1 and 6sp with 48,000 miles on it. I wish i could get it, but financally i cant afford it. He is asking $2200. That i sa heck of a deal, for a stock barely broken in Lt1....celeste dont get frustrated, just get a plan together like Kev said, and ull be suprised... I love mine even if it isnt currently as fast as i would like.. Ull like it better when it isnt sooo hot...
