I have goals, and they are realistic...well, to me anyway.

I want a stall, my gears installed, TB, MAF, and something done with my IM, with all that on, I want a tune...after that I will think about a head and cam package and stuff like that.

I want to take baby steps, but I am so freakin impatient it is unbelieveable. Yes, I admit it.

Thanks for the drag radials offer, I don't think they are going to help me right now until it cools off quite a bit.

I love you guys, I almost listed her for sale today on about 5 boards. You guys rock!

Here I am again... As an owner of 2 Lt1s and now an Ls1 I can tell you the Ls1 is vastly superior to the Lt1, I love both but thats just the way it is. Also first step is gettin sticky tires. neways here is how it goes...

Lt1 94 a4 3.23s stock=9.25 in the 1/8 in very similar weather, like right now... with 4.10an intake and 3500 stall(~$1000) went to a best of 8.51

Ls1 2000 a4 3.73s Borla and lid... Same weather ran 8.40s with the addition of a stall, torque arm, and 4.10s(~$1400) it ran a 7.85 and got 26-28mpg on the highway...

Now i cant hook up or keep the tranny alive. Ran the 7.56 w/o 3rd hopefully it will all work out this weekend(~6k). Neways hope that helps, if it is even relavent...
Unfortunatly I have lots of bought experience...

ps Im so tired... i hope none of this sounds ?annoying? (cant think of right word) wow im bored. I have edited this like 50 times i give up yall get the idea im rambling ahahahah...

pssss The DRs will help alote they will take that 2.09 60 and make it 2.02-1.99 (depends on gearing) which will help you tons.

Well...In my humble opinion I think you can skip the MAF as people have had nothing but problems with aftermarket MAFs, and they dont really give you gains that are worth the price if you get gains at all.

Erik will disagree with me about the TB as I say a stock one will work just fine until you get all your bolt ons in. When you go to your heads and cam then you will need a new TB, injectors etc etc etc I would wait till you know exactly what your "long term goal" is before you get a TB. Do you know how big a cam, or the heads? or if you will run nitrous? I know Erik and I have gone back and forth a million times. You see I want to get a 52mm TB but in the end I will have to replace it for a 58mm to complete my long term goals. so why not get a 58mm now? Well its waaay to big for a bolt on set up. not to mention your stock intake needs to be ported to take advantage of a aftermarket TB, and then they will need more work when you get your heads and cam so why not save the time and money and get that all done right one time rather then pick up maybe 3rwhp?

Slicks will help you no matter what the weather is granted you cut decent 60's on street tires but for every .1 you get off your 60's you get .2 off your ET (I think thats the formula). I can cut very low 1.7s on my DRs and 1.9-high 1.8s on street tires you do the math and you can take a high 13 second car and make it a mid to low 13 second car just by getting some slicks on it. Once Erik gets those big meaty slicks on his car we will hear a differet tune I am sure.

You will done fine give it some time, and the proper combination of parts and you will be running your target ETs in no time. What are your target ETs anyways?

Slicks + Gears + Stall = Pretty Good ETs even with no mods.

I agree that the LS1 is a better engine, I mean it makes around 30hp more then a LT1 right out of the box, more RPMs, and its much much lighter how can you go wrong with that?

Target ET = anything lower than the crappy 14.0's I am running right now. LOL

But..I would love to have a mid to low 13's with just bolt ons before I get into the head and cam and forced induction stuff...I hope that I am not too far off that.

Gears, Stall, and sticky tires should make the biggest difference before you get into the major mods.

I think you need a new stall, install your gears, get a new tune, and use those tires you got. I want to borrow them when you get them on some rims!!!
