What kinda goodies? Dont forget if your getting Coated LTs to mke sure and pick up some new O2 sensors as you will definately need to replace them once your old ones go bad from teh caoting burning off. Dont change them until the old ones go bad.

Erik do you have a lifter removal tool? I know you have to change yours too so I didnt know if you had one already. If not is that something I can get at harbor frieght or do I need to rent one from Autozone or Advanced? Sucks I have to get new intake and valve cover gaskets...

I decided against LT's due to clearance issues. But we are putting a custom exhaust system under there to go with the Hooker Muffler. And a new throttle body, intake manifold and some other things like a head and cam package and a...I forgot, LOL

No LTs!! Thats like having a sexy chick like Jessica Alba wearing a turtle neck sweater with dogs knitted on the front!

So you are going to have all this before Track Day? Cause from your earlier post it sounding like you would have "goodies" for track day.

When is track day? I havent gotten my tubes, and rims yet for my slicks... and you Celeste, what kinda clearance issues r u refering to.? I have had pacesetter LT's for about a couple of years now, and have not had any clearance issues. My car is even lowered, and i live down a dirt road as well.. But it is still about what ur comfortable with..

I installed Hooker LTs with a 4" Mufflex system and have the Eibach Pro-kit. I cringe every time time I see speed bumps or rail road tracks. If you look under the car near the collectors, I only have 3"-4" of clearance!

ill havta look and see what kind of clearance inch wise, that i have from mine, but i think pacesetters hug the body a lil more than hookers. I have , maybe 1/4 " clearance between the collector and that lil piece of crossmember that run s over it. Matter of fact, my motor would torque up pretty good, and the headers would slam into the bottom of my car on launches,.... till i got urethane motor mounts. They fixed that real quick....i have not scrapped my exhaust yet, but my UMI torqu arm cross brace does all the time. It hovers about 2"'s above the ground. Im more worried about that than my exhaust.. lol

I was thinking about the clearance issues with the hookers. I was also told that the pacesetter don't really have that much of a clearance issues.

And I could only wish to have the BODY that Jessica Alba has....If I had her body I would walk around 24/7 in a bikini or the sexiest lingerie Fredericks and Victoria sells. LOL

I agree with you Kev, all the way. And as far as the Alba comment, i really wouldnt care if most everybody walked around 24/7 in bikini's, except for the guys of course.....lol

I think the biggest difference in clearance is that the Hookers have a flange type collector whereas the Pacesetters are a slip fit style. If you don't have plan to lower your car, then its pretty much insignificant. I chose the Jet Hot style LTs primarily on their thicker upper flanges where the header bolts onto the motor. Both headers hang underneath the car by design and don't tuck up in the "tunnels" like the stock exhaust. So, you will lose some clearance with any LT heaader.

No doubt that Jessica Alba has a nice body.....but she only wishes she could fill her bikini top as well you!
