Free tickets for the Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta

North Georgia road race enthusiasts, we need some more volunteers for the upcoming Petit LeMans event at Road Atlanta, Oct. 9-12. As a volunteer, you would need to help for one 4-hour period on one day during the above dates. Most volunteer work is directing cars to available parking spaces, or staffing the information booths. Two volunteers are assigned to each information booth.

In exchange, you will receive a 4-day Superticket to the event, which includes paddock access, an infield parking pass, and an event Tee shirt.

There is an orientation meeting at 5:30 pm at Road Atlanta on Thursday, Oct. 3 that you should attend to get acquainted with the venue, as well as sign up for your preferred assignment, day, and hours. Last year I volunteered all 4 days and had a blast. On race day, I got to work with the Speedvision crew in the pits.

If you are interested, contact me soon and I will email you the form to lock up a place for you. (Minimum age: 18)

heh, I've been to Road Atlanta....

the bars ( what few there are) quit serving at midnight on Saturday because of the no-liquor on Sunday law....gotta thank the Bible-thumpers for screwing up a good thing.....went there in April with my Historical Stock Car team....saw some cool stuff, but it ain't THAT prestigious from what I saw.....I mean, other than the wine and cheese crowd with their ANNOYING Porsches and whiny BMWs, the biggest name there was factory C5 driver Shane Lewis....other than that , the only fun we had was drinking about a 12-pack each, and driving the golf cart down the BIG-a$$ hill going to and from the pits.....met ONE hot chick......all in all, if you don't have any other way to get into the pits and rub elbows with the TV crews, 4 hours is a small investment to make... Oh, and the short track across the road is KICKA$$!!!!!!! They get some GOOD racing going on there on Saturday night.....
