I need a good place in the atlanta are...well more in the marietta/kennesaw area...where i can get my car looked at to try and figure out if it's my clutch or tranny...either it's the sychros, or clutch isn't disengaging. Anyway, I need a good place that won't charge me out the butt hole for a possible rebuild.

hmm..yeah augusta is kinda out there for me...not sure if i want to risk driving with my tranny out that far

 

im in marietta too, i can take a look at it and tell ya whether its clutch or syncros...i think southern gear in smyrna charges around $700 for a t56 rebuild

 

where in marietta do you live? i'm thinking clutch but i dont know...i can only get it to make the noise sometimes, so a shop probably won't even notice it

i know exactly where that is. I live near 41 and bells ferry. I used to live closer to the area you are in.
