ZF 6 speed in a Camaro?

Will the ZF 6 speed out of a Corvette fit in an LT1 Camaro? If so what modifications are needed? Will the LT1 bellhousing and clutch work? Driveshaft?

Re: ZF 6 speed in a Camaro?

Well, it fit behind the LT1 motor in the corvette. You might need the bellhousing and clutch assembly from one of those cars, but I have no idea if the crossmember is anywhere close, what the overall length is, and if the shifter would fit through the factory hole. Not sure also if you'd have to redo the tunnel to clear the tranny. Not sure why one would even consider doing this for ANY reason... especially when a T56 fits fine.
