Your thoughts on this

Hi,
I recently bought a 1993 Z28, I love this car it is very fun to drive.
But I did just have a little mishap. I broke the flex plate.
I was told that I should get a heavier duty aftermarket one, because my car has a few mods.

I would like to here your thoughts on this, as I don’t want to waste $$$$$ if it really is not called for.

Here is list of mods that I know of that has been done to the car.

moroso intake, full msd system, slt headers, high flow cats and a vortek muffler.
I know he said he had it tuned at some shop also. I know very very little about cars. I do know I love driving this thing it’s a blast.
I s there any thing else I should have done while they have it apart.

Thank you very much for any and all help

Re: Your thoughts on this

Just replace the flexplate with a stock one. I cracked mine too, and I have no mods other than SLP CAI, and a flowmaster muffler. Those add ons are nothing that is going to add power to a limit of breaking the flexplate. It just happens.
