WOT=Limp home mode

OBDI F-body with cam (503ish size) with all the bolt ons, 4.10s, and stock stall.
Drives around fine until you go WOT then it goes into 3rd gear only until you turn the car off and start it back up again.
It is not hitting the rev limiter on the shifts.
Before the cam install it was fine but since the cam install the FP has been replaced and this is happening.

So far I have not been able to pull any codes associated with this issue.

Send it off to Ion to have it fixed. Don't know if mine would of had the stall wall or not going from a Vig. 2800 to a Yank SS3600. Ion stopped by the shop and went over the program to tune that problem out, just in case.

I got the stuff to tune it, just need to know what to tune out....it is not only from a dead stop, it anytime you go WOT and most of the time the stall wall is with a non-stock TC, and this car has a stock TC....

Is it programmed for the gears already? If there was an error in the calculation for gearing that was big enough by the time the wheel speed got up i could see it doing the stall wall problem.

Change the vss min 8000rpm in the constants table and see if that clears it up.

gears were in the car before the H/C installed and this was not an issue.
I will make that change too...i thought if it was hitting the stall wall it would hit the limiter but he might be getting out of it before then, I have not rode with him and logged yet....

Is your TPS voltage at WOT within specs?

Shon you have a pm.

Your mph and rpm that the computer sees have to match or it freaks out the pcm. Probably wasnt enough difference before the h/c but if you cranked up the rpm then def could be the culprit.

Tables>ECM Constants>VSS Diagnostic Enable Min RPM = 8000

Also fix the gearing setup, tuner cat has a wizard for this.
