Will this converter work well on my car?

I am looking at buying a 9.5" converter that stalled at 4000 rpm in an 11.0/120 mph car. My car is just a bolt-on LT1, so I know the converter will stall lower for me. Will this converter be ok for me or should I go with something a little tighter. The converter also has no lock-up clutch. I guess that might kill fuel economy too.

I'd say no don't get it. 4000 is a bit much for a stock cam on a street car. I have a 3000 vig which stalls a bit closer to 3200, and this is plenty for a street car with stock cam (For me at least, but some go a little bit more). If I can remember correctly, I think Frank from CPT mentioned that if you use a non-lockup converter on a street car, it will take take out your 3/4 clutchs.

This TC will not do what you want, it is wrong from the start. To high of a stall for what you have, and it is a non lockup. Unless it is a brand name and you can get it at a very low price, to have it reworked by the original builder, as this will cost some, I would look elsewhere.
