will a caprice drive shaft fit into a camaro tranny?

will a caprice drive shaft fit into a camaro tranny?

just bought a 97 4l60e out of a camaro for my 94 caprice...and i just thought about whether or not the drive shaft will fit into the tranny...

anyone have any info...i mean,,,worse comes to worse ill pull lthe shaft and see if she fits...but i wanna see if anyone here knows before hand?

yup the output shaft is the same splines, it will work

are you sure it's the same length and the yoke is an r3 on the caprice? If memory serves me correct, those have a 8.5" rear end in them

The output shaft is the same, but the transmission isn't. A '97 4L60E is a PWM lock-up, your '94 isn't. The transmissions aren't interchangeable. The '94 unit uses an on/off lock-up strategy. The pump, valvebody, seperator plate, and electrical are all different between the 2.
Look on the front of the pump on your '97 unit. You'll see the letters "PWM" cast into the pump. Now look at your '94 unit. Notice anything missing?
