will this axle work on my car...need help fast.

well i was changing the wheel bearings and all the bearings in the rearend and i pulled one axle out on the pass. side and the bearing had wore a groove all the way around it. but i have another axle off of a formula that did not have asr on it. but my car does my question is will the axle work or not. becuase my axle has the gear on it with teeth that sit beside a pin. not sure what it is, but the other axle does not have.

if its different whts different about it.

thanks

Mechanically it will work. Your ABS and TCS will not.

I haven't seen a TCS axle in a while..is the gear pressed on? Any chance you could have some put it on the other axle?

i didnt look close enough to see if it will come off.

so your saying the length should be the same. ill check the way its put on the axle tomorow.

but i was maily worried about length. i dont care about ABS and TCS.

If all your worried about is length you'll be fine. It just depends on the electronic/mechanical options of the vehicle it came out of vs. the vehicle it is going in to.

well that thing on the axle with the teeth for the abs just taps off with a hammer and a screw driver. but i think its some material like pewter or somehting. so you could put it on another axle.

but we lucked out. they make a bearing that is a one peice unit seal and all and it re locates the bearing so the bad spot i had on the axle is still there but the bearing when put in place is closer to the oustisde of the axle and is riding about 3/16 from the old place the bearing was riding. so ther was no need for a new axle.

thanks for all the help
